Visa Direct is collaborating with Moonrise, powered by the Nordic challenger bank\u00a0Lunar<\/a>, to access local payment rails across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. The partnership strengthens Visa Direct\u2019s ability to support real-time, domestic payments and local account access for clients operating in or expanding into the Nordic region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

The partnership will enable Visa Direct to extend its global payments platform with local Nordic capabilities by integrating Moonrise\u2019s suite of local accounts and payment infrastructure, including virtual accounts, pay-ins, and pay-outs across domestic payment schemes in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, through a single API.<\/p>\n

\u201cVisa is building the next generation of global payments infrastructure, and Moonrise is what brings the Nordics into that equation,\u201d says Lunar\u2019s CEO and founder, Ken Villum Klausen. \u201cBy simplifying access to local payment rails, Moonrise enables global payment players to deliver local market payment experiences and scale in the region with greater speed, reliability, and confidence, without the need for multiple local integrations.\u201d<\/p>\n

The collaboration builds on the existing relationship between Lunar and Visa, evolving it from point solutions into a complete, scalable payment offering for Visa Direct\u2019s clients across the Nordics.<\/p>\n
