Berlin, Germany – In a significant milestone, Berlin-based fintech startup Unitplus has raised €4.7 million in seed funding, led by UK venture capital firm Pact. This latest round also saw participation from Seed X, a specialist fund focused on financial startups, alongside prominent business angels, including Alexandros Bottenbruch from PayPal Ventures.

Unitplus, known for its innovative ETF-based investment solutions, initially gained traction by allowing investors to use their portfolio holdings for everyday payments through a dedicated payment card. The company later expanded its product lineup with CashPlus, an interest-bearing account based on money market funds. In April of this year, the fintech surpassed the €100 million mark in customer deposits, cementing its position in the investment landscape.

With fresh capital from this funding round, Unitplus is now looking to further expand its offerings. The company plans to introduce an AI-driven savings product, designed to automate monthly savings contributions based on a customer’s spending patterns. “By analyzing the deposit and withdrawal flows of all linked bank accounts, our AI will calculate personalized savings rates that adjust to individual life circumstances,” explained Fabian Mohr, founder of Unitplus. This new service is set to launch later this year, initially targeting retail investors.

The investment underscores the growing interest in AI-powered financial tools and marks an exciting new phase for Unitplus as it continues to revolutionize investment and savings solutions for customers across Europe.
